Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello! I wanted to drop in real quick and say Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that everyone is enjoying this day with loved ones or in whichever way is best for you. For me, I'm at work which is a bummer, but I can't complain about the three day weekend I'm gonna have! Although this day is the set day to "give thanks", EVERYDAY should be a day of thanksgiving for the body of Christ!!

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. -Psalm 100 v4.

Take Care of The Body; Our Reasonable Service

"For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another" Romans 12:4-5

In the natural terms of a body, each part must be operating right so that the body will function how it's supposed to. Every extremity and organ must be getting the proper nutrients for it to remain healthy and to function on one accord, for a greater movement.

It's the same in the spiritual body. Everyone must find what their responsibility(extremity or organ) is within the body of Christ. Everyone must work together for the greater movement. Some responsibilities are far greater than others, but ALL are equally important. *so don't even bother with the comparison game. wink*

In the same way that the physical body needs nutrients, so does the spiritual body. In the natural, what we put in is what we should expect to get out. If we constantly feed ourselves junk food, will our be bodies be in tip top shape? NO!(trust me, I know, BUT GOD) If we constantly feed our spiritual selves junk(bad television, social media nonsense, garbage music) will it be in tip top shape? NO! If we eat junk, listen to junk, watch junk, junk is what will come out. We need to be sure that we are doing our part in the body of Christ and not consume junk, but that we are feasting on the Heavenly, Holy, and Righteous. This must take place in each individual believer as each individual has an assigned part. We must fast, pray, praise, worship and read our Word. This is our spiritual food. Remember, what goes in, is what comes out.

If too much junk going in the physical makes you lethargic and unproductive, wouldn't you agree that you'll have the same outcome with the spiritual?? Let us not be dead weight within the body of Christ. We all need each other for the advancement the Kingdom.

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.       Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. -Romans 12:1-13

-Love you all!
