Happy New Year

Yes, I know, I'm late. We're only the 6th day in so cut me some slack. :^) I hope everyone is doing great and that the new year is off to a great start for all. I'm sure many of us are glad that 2016 is over. The year 2016 for me was a year of growth. The main and most important area of growth was in my spiritual life. Whew. Man, God is good. He's just great. I never knew so much would take place spiritually within the last six months of the year. I remember journaling about it a few days ago and was just in awe at how far I've come in my walk. I was a mess. I was finally able to walk in true forgiveness to those who hurt me in the past, I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, got out of a relationship that I should have never been in, joined an intercessory prayer team, had an encounter with God that I will never forget, and started seeing things(visions). Those are like the major things that happened, but I have many, many more "minor" things happen as well.

Fast forward to 2017. For this year, I'm really wanting to continue to build my relationship with God. I'm seeking to be a biblically sound woman. A woman that is well versed in the Word. Not with the intentions of exalting myself over others, but by being able to rightly divide the Word, effectively sharing the Word, and, of course, live it. Another goal for 2017 is to become more of a planner. I want to write my goals and visions down so that they'll always be in the forefront of my mind. I tend to forget things quick because I'm not writing anything down. I'm not too concerned with things being perfectly in line with my wants because God's will will always be triumphant. "You can make many plans,    but the Lord’s purpose will prevail."- Proverbs 19:21, NLT. I'm joining a small group that meets about 30 minutes from where I live. I'm so excited about this because I don't have like minded friends or people to discuss the bible with. I've been praying for friends, so this is the perfect way to make some. Awesome!! The Lord has shown me that my life lacks discipline. My flesh cringes at the thought of discipline, but it's a problem that needs to be solved; spirit, soul, and body.

I truly pray that you are writing down what your vision is for 2017. It doesn't have to be an extravagant to-do list, but maybe it's that thing that you didn't get completed last year. What has the Lord specifically told you to do? What are you passionate about? Do you need to start a blog, a Youtube channel, or a small group? Take some time to sit down so you can reflect on 2016. Look at areas of your life that you can be better in for 2017.

Love you.

Words Of Encouragement

Hello everyone!

I just want to take the time to encourage someone today. Regardless of what you are going through I want you to know that God is still in control. He's still able. He still heals. He still delivers. He still provides. He still guides. No matter what it may look like you will make it through. He knows everything and will be with you till the end. He's still on the throne. He's always listening to the voice of His children. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Nothing. How great it is to have a Father that is ever present and that never leaves. This year has been a year of spiritual growth for me. Wow. Like I honestly cannot believe where I'm at now compared to where I was 6 months ago. He is definitely working within me. Constantly turning me on the potter's wheel. Even when I don't feel like anything has changed within me spiritually, I soon find out that He's been working behind the scenes. So keep reading the Word, keep praying, keep fasting, keep praising, keep seeking. Don't worry about someone else's walk. Please don't compare yourself to someone else!! Just don't. I've been there and it only breeds discontentment and jealousy. I've had to learn that my journey is mine and your journey is yours. It's like running in a marathon for the first time. As long as you cross that finish line who cares what place you come in? You completed the race that was set before you. You conquered it. Yeah you got tired, but you didn't quit. Quitting would mean you forfeited everything. This walk is the same way. We'll get tired and grow weary, but we can't stop. We may not can run at the moment, but walking is fine. Why? Because you're still moving forward. Don't ever give up. You are more than a conqueror!!

I also want to encourage you to read Romans Chapter 8 in your quiet time.
Love you and praying for you! *watch the video at the bottom*

2 Corinthians 10 verse 4-5
" For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

Philippians 3 verse 12-14
12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[d] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Romans 12 verse 2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
